We prefer you to pay by BACS. Details are on our website. If this is not possible, you may pay by cheque: cheques should be made out to Wighton Recreation Hut and posted to Mrs Barbara Clark at 37 High Street, Wighton, Wells-next-the-sea, NR23 1AL.
A few days before your event you will be given a code for the key box which is located by the front door. The key box just holds the front door key. Once inside you will have access to keys for the other doors.
Yes, a refundable deposit is payable for all bookings. This will be 50% of the hire charge. The money will be refunded if no damage has been caused during the hire.
Yes, there are two paved disabled car parking spaces with same level paving leading to the front door. There are no steps in the building and level access through all exterior doors. There is 1 accessible toilet and 1 ambulant toilet. All doors are wheelchair friendly.
You will get a free 15 minutes each side of your hire time to set up and clean away but if you think its insufficient then extra time will need to be included in your booking time. It can be arranged for you to set up the day before your event if the hall is free, however, there will be a charge for this.
We ask that you leave the room as it was found, so sweeping the floor and cleaning the tables and kitchen after use is asked after hire please. We would ask that you only mop up spills as specialist equipment is needed to mop our flooring.
We have 12 folding tables measuring 183 x 76cm – 6ft x 2ft 6”
50 new chairs are upholstered, we have another 65 chairs which are not upholstered.
Hooks are provided around the hall for hanging decorations. We do not permit the use of Blu tack or Sellotape.
Yes, there is a tea urn which can be provide hot water for hot drinks.
There are 100 place settings.
We have a licence which permits the hirer of the hall to sell alcohol within the building. Please see Terms and Conditions for more details.
No, we don’t, so usually we use bluetooth speakers as we have Wifi available. No speakers outside please.
